Our first unit is very diverse and a difficult way to begin the semester.  The discussion begins with the purpose of economics and the foundation to the ascending curriculum with the factors of production.  We will look at the different economies within different governments when we get into economic systems.  The stock market game starts after the first month of class and lasts the duration of the semester, so we immediately switch from the beginning of the book to the middle.  Under financial markets, we look at the different ways to save money and what is available before we look at the stock market in depth.  From the stock market we switch over to the structure of the American economy
